Once Set for Life, Auto Workers May Have to Gamble
On the heels of the major cost-cutting agreement with GM and Delphi, many members of the UAW are faced with a difficult decision. While some look at the offered buyout as an opportunity to get something concrete and leave an industry with a highly uncertain future, others are apprehensive about the viability of the job market and the buyout's ability to offer a sustainable lifestyle.
