One month into strike, Boeing Defense stands by its last contract offer
A strike at Boeing’s defense facilities in St. Louis has entered its second month, with 3,200 machinists rejecting the company’s latest contract offer. Boeing says it may allow “minor adjustments” but insists the core economic terms will not change. Union leaders argue workers deserve more than incremental tweaks, calling the dispute a fight for dignity as well as fair pay. Production of fighter jets and munitions continues under contingency plans, though the company acknowledges some slowdown.
