One Refinery Shuts as U.S. Oil Workers Strike Reaches Second Day
At nine different sites on Sunday, the United Steelworkers union stopped work as employees went on strike over contract negotiations. Management has taken control of six of the plants, while one plant was forced to shut down as a result of the strike. This is the union's first national strike since 1980.
