OSHA issues Covid-19 safety rule for Healthcare workers, gets backlash for exclusion of other industries
On Thursday, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) announced a rule that will require employers in the healthcare industry to meet certain guidelines to protect workers from the risk of Covid-19. As the Biden Administration initially indicated a rule spreading more industries, this OSHA determination is being criticized by worker’s rights groups and unions. Employers will have 2 weeks to show sufficient compliance with the rule.
