Papa John?s Franchisee Ordered to Pay New York City Workers More Than $2 Million
This week, Supreme Court Justice Joan Kenney ruled that Papa John's must pay hundreds of workers over $2 million in owed wages. Reports found that the pizza company had been paying employees as low as $5 an hour. The company hired workers considering them to be tipped employees so that they only had to pay them $5 an hour. However, many of these workers never received any tips.
