Payroll tax bill: Impasse angers workers who could lose $20 a week or more
As Congress debates extending the payroll tax, many people are frustrated by the conflict. The payroll tax would save workers making $50,000 a year $1,000 in taxes, and many people don't understand why the debate over the tax continues. Many workers say that they are worried about the effect not extending the tax would have, and bring up state tax increases.
