Pennsylvania Governor Raising Minimum Wage for State Workers
In an executive order signed on Monday, the Governor of Pennsylvania raised the minimum wage of state government employees and workers who are contracted on government projects by $3 bringing the average wage to $10.15 an hour. According to the union, this wage increase is expected to affect part-time clerical and janitorial employees. It is projected that this decision to increase those workers minimum wage will cost approximately $4 million.
