Pennsylvania governor, Josh Shapiro, signed an executive order that he claims will create ten thousand new jobs over the coming years. Shapiro’s Commonwealth Workforce Transformation Program will invest 400 million dollars into workforce development and training programs over the next five years. The development and training programs will train workers to possess the skills needed for major infrastructure projects. The Commonwealth Workforce Transformation will be funded by federal programs. The federal programs that will support the project are The Infrastructure and Jobs Act and the Inflation Reduction Act.
