The Anchorage city law AO-37, which would severely limit unions? right to strike and eliminate binding arbitrations, may be brought before a special election or put on the next general election ballot if the petition by the Coalition of Municipal Unions has enough registered voters? signatures. The review of the petition will be completed later this month, but the city could appeal it before then. The law, with the support of Mayor Dan Sullivan, was barely passed by the City Assembly on March 26th of this year.
