Peugeot staff vote against strike
Peugeot workers who face losing their jobs within a year have voted not to take strike action. The Transport and General Workers' Union announced the result on Monday, only 90 minutes after the ballot closed. General secretary Tony Woodley said the vote reflected the fact many workers wanted to take redundancy and it did not signal the end of the campaign to keep the factory open.
