Phoenix cannabis dispensary violated labor law by firing unionizer, federal judge orders
A federal labor judge has ordered Curaleaf Dispensary Midtown to rehire an employee who was terminated after organizing union efforts. The judge found that Nickolas Fredrickson was unfairly fired in violation of the National Labor Relations Act and should be compensated for lost wages and benefits. Curaleaf claimed the dismissal stemmed from workplace infractions, but the judge ruled those reasons were part of a broader effort to target union supporters. The company declined to comment on the decision.
