Pilgrim nuclear plant union to vote on new contract
Massachusetts nuclear power plant workers who have been locked out for two weeks will vote on a new contract agreement Wednesday. The two sides reached an agreement Tuesday on a four-year agreement, which the union says includes wage increases, as well as a compromise on health benefits. The company said that they were happy to have reached an agreement and hoped that it would be approved by the workers. The company locked out workers two weeks ago, saying that they feared a strike that would endanger the plant. The workers' jobs are currently being done by managers and workers from other plants.
