Pilot unions warn members about staying focused in cockpits
Major airlines are finding their pilots distracted over looming vaccine deadlines. The Allied Pilots Association representing American Airline pilots issued a memo on Tuesday reminding pilots of the dangers of having distractions in the cockpit. They are also asking for the Federal Aviation Administration to expedite reviewing filed reports about distracted pilots. Earlier this month, Southwest Airline’s union wrote a similar message telling members to keep conversations about the vaccine mandate out of the cockpit.
