Pilots union asks bankruptcy judge to consider American's full proposal
American Airlines' pilots' union has asked a federal bankruptcy court judge to consider more than the airline's labor policies before making his decision on whether the airline can vacate their contract with the pilots. The judge rejected an earlier proposal from the company, and the American says that they have changed their proposal, which the union says is untrue. Unions have urged the company to consider a merger with US Airways, and the flight attendants at both companies have said that they will work together in support of that goal. The judge will hear arguments on the pilots' contract Tuesday.
