Pilots Union Rejects Tentative Pact With American Airlines
American Airlines pilots have rejected a six year contract offer. The issue is now expected to go before a bankruptcy court judge, who will decide labor conditions. American says that they are disappointed that the pilots rejected the deal, which would have provided raises, furlough protections and an increase in 401(k) contributions. Mechanics at the airline accepted a deal with the airline, along with a group of store clerks. Flight attendants are still considering an offer. The judge has said that the would rule after all of the current offers have been settled.
