Police guild angry over contract leak
The Seattle Police Officers' Guild is upset at the Seattle mayor's office for demanding commanders reveal details of the city's proposed contract offer to officers as they began their shifts this week. The guild contends the mayor's office has broken a confidentiality agreement in place as the two sides negotiate a new contract for officers. The compensation offer would reportedly make Seattle police the highest-paid unit in the country. Seattle Police have been working without a contract for almost a year.
