Poll Shows Brazil's Lula Would Win Re - Election
Brazilian President and former trade unionist Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva's popularity has rebounded from months of declines and would likely win October's election in a runoff vote, a poll showed on Tuesday. The president's approval ratings suffered in the second half of 2005 after the ruling Workers' Party admitted to using illegal campaign funds and was accused of buying votes in Congress.
