Private spaces appear in open-plan offices
Nearly a decade ago firms began shifting towards open-plan offices to encourage collaboration and communication in the workplace. Now, in response to complaints regarding noise and a lack of privacy, private spaces such as meeting rooms, phone booths, and wellness rooms have begun to appear in spaces which were once far more open. According to interior architects privacy and increased construction are returning to the workplace, however they are now available to all employees as opposed to being restricted to management.
