Pro-union demonstrations take place on Labor Day in front of the homes of Amazon & Starbucks CEOs
On Monday, union supporters gathered in front of the homes of Jeff Bezos and Howard Schultz in New York City in honor of Labor Day. Labor organizers from the Staten Island Amazon facility were present at the rally and then led the group to Times Square. This demonstration arises amidst recent unionization efforts at Starbucks and Amazon locations within the last year that have garnered national attention. Both companies have strongly resisted unionization attempts, however, they deny engaging in union-busting.
