Prudential Agents Vote to Unionize
The Office and Professional Employees International Union (OPEIU), has won the right to represent nearly 1,000 Prudential Financial Inc. agents across the country. Insurance agents, who are primarily commission-based, are not typically thought of as unionized workers. Prudential said it respected the decision of its agents to unionize and that it plans to negotiate with the union in good faith.
