Qantas Cancels Most Flights as Joyce Confronts Labor Unions
Australian airline Qantas has suspended most domestic and international flights indefinitely. The airline says that it will lock out workers until further notice. The company is in contract talks with three unions that represent many of their workers. the grounding has stranded many passengers. The government says that the airline did not give them any warning about the lockout. The airline says that strikes by unions have cost them millions, and that until they reach deals with the union flights will be grounded.
