Rate of U.S. workers quitting jobs flat in March
According to the Labor Department, the rate of workers quitting their jobs remained steady for the month of March. At 1.6% for both February and March, the number of workers quitting is higher than in 2009, but is still below the average since 2000 of 1.9%. Economists use the rate as a measure of how confident workers are in their ability to find another job.
