Peggy Klaus, a communication and leadership coach, holds conferences that essentially teach women how to brag about their accomplishments. The idea is that women who do not talk about themselves in a positive manner will be passed over for jobs and promotions. Many women find it difficult to brag about themselves because they do not want to be seen as being too assertive or aggressive. Klaus encourages women to think about their accomplishments and skills and communicate them in an enthusiastic story-like manner.
