About 200 Red Cross workers represented by the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees Local 3145 have gone out on strike. The strike is over contract negotiations, which are ongoing. The Red Cross said that they were disappointed in the strike, and that they would continue blood drives on a smaller scale.
