Regrouping on a Labor Effort to Elect a Democrat
The Partnership for American Families is a group of union leaders whose goal is to elect a Democratic president. In order to do this they are trying to mobilize non-union groups such as women and minorities who have been critical to Democratic success in the past. The partnership has been in turmoil recently, after three of its directors resigned. The new board consists of several well-known labor leaders, and supporters hope that this will restore confidence in the partnership.
