Reports of firings in wake of march
Representatives of the National Workers Defense Committee reported that while almost all employers respected their workers' right to march during Monday's immigration rallies, there have been isolated firings in response to protesters' absence from work that day. The NWDC, in conjunction with the Service Employees International Union, is collating reports of all such incidences so as to file a single unfair labor practice charge on behalf of all American workers fired as a result of Monday's marches.
