Republicans seek to rollback NLRB ?micro unions? ruling
Republican congressmen have introduced legislation that would overturn a 2011 NLRB ruling that allows unions to organize sections of a workplace rather than all of it. Sponsors of the legislation argue that these termed "micro unions" increase the potential for labor conflict. The lawmakers have simultaneously re-introduced legislation that would eliminate "card check" procedure as a valid method of holding an organizing election. The Representation Fairness Restoration Act is likely to pass in the Republican held house, though its fate in the Democrat held Senate is more precarious.
