Republicans Want To Pass A National Right-To-Work Law
Today, Republicans in the House of Representatives may propose a nationwide right to work bill. The law would allow workers to reap the benefits of union representation without paying dues or supporting the union. Twenty-seven states are currently right to work states, a number that is expected to increase as Republican lawmakers continue to exercise their newfound majority control of their state legislatures. If Republicans propose the nationwide bill today, they would most likely be stopped by a Democratic filibuster in the Senate.
