Retail Store Job Cuts Deepen as More Buyers Migrate Online
Over 60,000 jobs in the retail sector have been cut over the last two months. The layoffs are primarily due to the shift in consumers buying more products online. Almost one-third of Americans work in retail for their first job, but as many retailers continue to file for bankruptcy and cut back on employees, this may change for newer generations.
