Retailers are expected to add more jobs this holiday season than in past years. It is also predicted that more of the hiring will happen closer to Christmas time, as technology makes it easier for retailers to adjust their workforces based on demand. An increasingly diverse pool of applicants is applying for these holiday jobs including college students, retirees, and housewives.
