Robots Are Slashing U.S. Wages and Worsening Pay Inequality
According to new research conducted by Daron Acemoglu of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Pascual Restrepo of Boston University, robots have had a substantial negative impact on employment and wages in the United States. The study analyzed local data from 1990 to 2008 and found that industrial robots most likely amplified the nation's wage gap.
