Robots are taking on the jobs of the aging workforce
A recent study reveals that robots are taking on jobs in place of the aging workforce. This study looked at demographic and industry data in 60 countries and its correlation with robot use. The research found that 35% of the variation between countries and their use of robots could be accounted for by age. It also found that a 10 percentage-point increase in the aging of a local population led to a 6.45 percentage-point increase in the presence of firms that specialize in industrial robot installation and maintenance.
