The Labor Department plans to issue its final rule on overtime pay provisions by the end of March. The new rule would change who is eligible for overtime pay; ending mandatory overtime pay for many that now qualify but expanding overtime coverage to other workers. The proposed changes have been opposed by many Democrats and labor advocates.
