Russia's Unions Set to Protest Low Wages
Government-employed doctors, teachers and cultural workers will go on a one-day strike and hold rallies this week to protest low wages. Workers are demanding a 50 percent increase next year on monthly wages, according to the president of Russia's non-industrial labor unions. Workers are prepared to go on a prolonged strike if the government fails to react to their demands.
