Samsung Says Its Chinese Assembler Didn't Have Child Workers
After a report from a labor rights organization found child workers in a Chinese Samsung plant, the company says that their own investigation did not find any children under the age of 16. The company said that they will stop doing business with HEG, the company that owns the factory, if they do not comply with the company's policies on child labor. The labor group said that advance warning of the inspection from Samsung meant that child workers were transferred, and that they had fake ids. The company says that it is in the process of inspecting all of its Chinese factories.
