San Fran Bay Area transit workers go on strike
Two of San Francisco?s largest transit unions went on strike Monday after contract negotiations fell apart over the weekend. Representatives from both sides of the table said that negotiations were labored by disagreements over salary, pensions, healthcare, and safety issues. Negotiations came to a halt Saturday as both sides accused one another of walking away from discussions. With more than 400,000 public transportation users in the Bay area, traffic jams are expected to clog roads going in and out of the Bay area Monday.
