Sanders Urges Verizon to Resolve Local Labor Dispute
In recent weeks, Hillary Clinton has picked up support from several major labor groups. Bernie Sanders is also seeking labor groups support and has recently urged Verizon wireless to negotiate a fair contract for its 39,000 employees who are represented by the Communications Workers of America. Recently, the presidential candidate joined striking workers outside one of Verizon's stores. Sanders is also asking that the company to re-hire a former union official who helped to organize Brooklyn stores.
