Sara Lee has settled an employment discrimination case brought against the company over an alleged job offer. Brenda Jarvis sued Sara Lee, claiming that a $140,000-a-year marketing job offer was rescinded after she broke off her relationship with the company?s chairman and chief executive, Steven McMillan. The company paid Jarvis $75,000 to drop the lawsuit, but maintains that there was never a job offer.
