Saudi Arabia to crack down on illegal workers
Saudi Arabia's labor minister says that the country is increasing its efforts to find those working illegally in the country. The government is hiring new inspectors, and small businesses that are found to employ illegal immigrants could be punished with fines and time in prison. The government says that they need the 7.5 million legal foreign workers, but that those in the country illegally cannot stay. The unemployment rate among Saudi citizens is estimated to be about 12%.
