Seattle Art Museum workers seek a union
Starting today until May 31st, around 65 internal security workers for the Seattle Art Museum will vote on whether or not to form an independent union in a NLRB election. The workers are also awaiting the outcome of three unfair labor practice charges that they have leveled against the museum. They allege that the museum has taken retaliatory actions such as changing work schedules and sending threatening emails. The Seattle Art Museum said they unequivocally deny the allegations and that they are and will continue to be a neutral party in the union election process.
