Senate confirms Alex Acosta as labor secretary, filling out Trump's cabinet
Alex Acosta was confirmed by the United States Senate on Thursday as secretary of labor. Acosta was confirmed in a 60-38 vote. Acosta's resume includes being a federal prosecutor, member of the NLRB, and a civil rights chief at the Justice Department. Acosta was Trump's second choice for position after Andrew Puzder withdrew his name after significant controversy.
