Senate panel rejects GOP bid to undercut NLRB
The Senate Appropriations Committee failed to pass an amendment that would have taken away the National Labor Relations Board's authority to tell companies where they can locate work. The measure, similar to one that was approved in the House of Representatives earlier this week, was in response to the Board's challenge of Boeing. The NLRB filed a complaint against the company for moving production to a right-to-work state, a move that has drawn criticism from Republicans, who say the NLRB overstepped.
