SF court workers' strike closes offices
San Francisco court workers held a one-day strike on Monday, causing clerks' offices to close and some trials to stop. The strike is protesting negotiations with the court administrators that led to a 5% pay cut. SEIU, which represents the 200 workers who went on strike, says that the court failed to disclose financial information proving that the 5% cut and increased health care costs were necessary. The court said that services were maintained during the strike.
