Skilled Labor in High Demand
Some economists point to increasing competition from developing countries in explaining why US job growth and wages have remained weak over a period of economic expansion. Employers, however, say they are finding it increasingly more difficult to find and hire qualified workers and are often leaving positions unfilled. To stay competitive, job training and a focus on education is needed.
