Slowdown Forces Many to Wander for Work
A slowdown in the tech market has left a number of workers unable to find permanent jobs. Unemployment among tech workers is now higher than the overall jobless rate. These displaced workers often are forced to leave their homes and roam the country to find jobs. The slowdown can be attributed to companies relying on cheaper foreign labor and a shift toward short-term contract employment that gives companies more workforce flexibility.
