Social Worker Shortage
In the US there is an increasing shortage of social workers. Social workers play a vital part in society by providing critically important services aimed at improving community safety and well-being. Additionally, a recent study conducted by the Bureau of Labor Statistics has found 16% increase in the need for social workers nationwide since 2016. As a result the University of Kentucky has attempted to solve this need for social workers by developing an online Doctorate of Social Work Program.
