Software analytics company SAS announces layoffs
SAS, a statistical and software analytics company, has announced another round of layoffs after the company conducted job cuts six months earlier. The company stated that the company is reorganizing divisional structures and the changes allow SAS to be better aligned to meet future goals. The layoffs will affect the retail services department while SAS will continue hiring initiatives in other divisions of the company. The company is increasing focus and resources on the use of artificial intelligence and is preparing to become a public company. It is estimated that SAS earns around $3 billion per year, and numerous Fortune 100 companies utilize SAS software.
