Some tech workers are taking advantage of remote work and working multiple jobs simultaneously
A new phenomenon known as "overemployed" has emerged amidst remote work options and the hiring freezes occurring in the tech industry. There are a growing number of tech workers working upwards of three or four jobs simultaneously and reaping large monetary benefits from this practice. This has come to light on a Reddit page where these "overemployed" workers share tips on how to manage multiple jobs, and even meetings, at the same time. Most recently, the CEO of the tech company Canopy announced that two employees were found holding multiple jobs simultaneously and were fired. As many other industries have shifted back to in-person work, the tech industry has largely remained to work from home which has contributed to the rise in this workplace issue.
