Some Urge U.S. to Focus on Selling Its Skills Overseas
Some experts are pushing fort the United States to focus on exporting services rather than manufacturing goods. With large numbers of lawyers, financiers and other high-skilled workers, the US could export those skills. Although the US exports more services than any other countries, experts say that number could go up, especially if the government encouraged it. There are barriers to service exporting, including those that other countries make in order to encourage their own citizens.
