South Africa's Eskom to Rehire Fired Workers at Medupi Plant
On March 27th, employees of Medupi Power took industrial action demanding higher wages and improved working conditions. Today, the company has announced that it will rehire approximately 1,700 of the employees that were dismissed while on strike. The workers, who are represented by the National Union of Metalworkers in South Africa, are expected to review the proposition today.
